American Institute Helps Toys for Tots Foundation

Celebration, FL – American Institute College of Health Professions is holding a week of toy collection on campus.  American Institute has decided to partner with the Toys for Tots organization that is affiliated with the U.S Marine Corp. for this wonderful cause.  “What better way to give back to our country than partnering with a U.S. Marine Corp. organization,” stated Dr. Louise Wilcox, Campus President of American Institute College of Health Professions.  The toy drive will take place this week Monday December 13, 2010 through Thursday December 16, 2010.

The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.  Through this their mission is to deliver an unwrapped toy to all the less fortunate children in the local community.  That is why American Institute has decided to step up and collect toys for their local community.  Unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the American Institute Celebration campus.  The foundation also accepts online monetary donations.  Members of the public are also invited to bring toys to the American Institute College of Health Professions campus.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted .  On December 17, 2010 a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. will be visiting the campus in uniform to pick up the toys that have been collected.  The toy distribution will take place later in December with the assistance of local social welfare agencies, church groups and other local community agencies.

“The American Institute students are proud to be a participating in this wonderful charity,” added Dr. Wilcox.  “We are grateful to our students for all their generosity and the generosity of our staff has been remarkable too.  I am pleased that our efforts will help so many children have a very Merry Christmas.”

Randy Proto, CEO of American Institute, said “The participation in this wonderful cause helps our students to remember how lucky we all are, and it helps us to remember those serving our county both here and abroad.  I ask that all of the students in the American Institute Family of Schools remember those less fortunate, and our servicemen and women and their families during the holidays.  Congratulations to all who support the Toys for Tots Foundation's efforts.  You will certainly make a difference in the lives of many children this Holiday Season.”
